Whether you are considering a private adoption of a child from New York State or another state, Family Focus can provide a home study, supervision and/or post placement reports as required. Family Focus has adoption specialists available (many of whom are adoptive parents) in the New York metropolitan area and Long Island up through the Capital District. Our Family Services Program provides home study and post-placement/post-adoption services for families seeking to adopt internationally. The home study is a basic requirement for all adoptions. In addition to working with Family Focus you may also need an international placement agency for the country you are considering.

Family Focus has knowledgeable, bi-lingual (Spanish) Program Assistants who are available to answer your questions and help you to begin your adoption process. Once you have decided on the country from which you wish to adopt, Family Focus can conduct your home study. When your report is approved, you will receive notarized copies for use with your dossier and for submission to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). In addition we provide post-placement/post adoption supervisory visits and reports which are required by many countries.
