Nationwide Internet Adoption Help Program |
The Nationwide Internet Adoption Help Program (NIAH) provides an
opportunity for you to search for children via the Internet and
throughout the United States in the hope of finding the child that you
envision as part of your family. When you want to inquire about a child in another state, the
first question that a placing agency will usually ask is, "Who is your
agency?"
FAMILY FOCUS ADOPTION SERVICES offers this program to ensure that you are prepared (educated, studied and licensed) and therefore ready to accept a child into your home. We will make the contacts on any child you have identified through your own Internet searching, and assist you in negotiating the visiting and placement of a child. Training, mentoring and support are all included in your fee, to help you navigate the winding road of adoption. For more details about this program, click here

Budabin-McQuown Program |
While New York State has hundreds of children who are legally freed and
ready to be adopted, these children are, on the average, older than ten
years of age. Most are
teenagers. Many have psychiatric diagnoses, are on medication, attend
special education classes, or have other special needs. Some are part of a sibling group that may not be separated.
They are the "Waiting Children" of New York State. They are all waiting for "forever families," but have not yet
been found by someone with the dedication and commitment that forever
requires.
In addition to all of our NIAH services, FAMILY FOCUS ADOPTION SERVICES
will assist you with your search for these children, and then help you
to build the permanent relationships that lead to adoption.

Rubenacker Program |
An extension of our Budabin-McQuown Program, this small but special
program seeks families who are willing to adopt children who, because of
developmental or mental health issues or injury, are not able to consent
to their own adoptions.

Direct Placement Program |
FAMILY FOCUS ADOPTION SERVICES Direct Placement Program (DPP) assists
pregnant women or birth parents who are considering the option of
surrendering their newborn for adoption, with counseling and other supports.
Adopting families who are interested in a newborn can apply to this small program. Although these days, the reality is that there are few birth families who come to us on their own, and occasional referrals to us, FAMILY FOCUS will present approved adopting families with an action plan including resources so they may actively begin their own search.
