The New York State Citizens' Coalition For Children (NYSCCC):
an advocacy organization of concerned citizens and nearly 140 volunteer
adoptive and foster parent groups in every region of New York State,
providing information and support for children and families who are
interested or involved in foster care and adoption.
Includes information on board rate and subsidies, information on
becoming a foster or adoptive parent, tax benefits and supports, and
parent group resources.

AdoptUsKids:
a project of The Children's Bureau, part of the Federal Department of
Health and Human Services. The goal of AdoptUsKids is to devise and
implement a national adoptive family recruitment and retention strategy,
operate the AdoptUsKids.org
website, encourage and enhance adoptive family support organizations and
conduct a variety of adoption research projects.
Includes nationwide available child photolistings, and parent and
professional resources.

North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC):
founded in 1974 by adoptive parents, and committed to meeting the
needs of waiting children, support adoptive families and find homes for
the thousands of foster children who need families.
Includes information on transracial adoption, parent groups and
links to publications and newsletters.

New York State Adoption Services (NYSAS): contains information about
adoption, adoption agencies, tax benefits, services and more.
Also contains the New York State Adoption Album Photolisting with
pictures and information of children in New York who are available for
adoption.

The Adoptive Parents Committee (APC):
the oldest adoptive parent group in North America, is a
non-profit parent support group comprised of volunteers dedicated to
improving all aspects of adoption and interim (foster) care.
APC is an advocate for humanitarian improvements in the adoption
and foster care system, with four chapters in Long Island, New York
City, New Jersey and the Connecticut/Hudson Region.
Includes legal advice and links to articles promoting education
and awareness.
