An advocacy organization of concerned citizens and nearly 140 volunteer adoptive and foster parent groups in every region of New York State, providing information and support for children and families who are interested or involved in foster care and adoption. Includes information on board rate and subsidies, information on becoming a foster or adoptive parent, tax benefits and supports, and parent group resources.

The oldest adoptive parent group in North America, is a non-profit parent support group comprised of volunteers dedicated to improving all aspects of adoption and interim (foster) care. APC is an advocate for humanitarian improvements in the adoption and foster care system, with four chapters in Long Island, New York City, New Jersey and the Connecticut/Hudson Region. Includes legal advice and links to articles promoting education and awareness.
